most powerful teams in the world with riders capable of winning almost any race in any discipline.
In 2005, the Discovery Team won two of cycling’s three Grand Tours: The Tour de France with
Lance Armstrong and the Giro d’Italia with Paolo Savoldelli. Other notable accomplishments for
the team included George Hincapie’s second place finish in the 2005 edition of Paris Roubaix.
His finish represents the best finish ever by an American in this difficult race known as
"The Hell of the North."
