New to the 2006 Pro Peloton, the Toyota-United Pro Cycling Team is going to be a team
to be reckoned with. This team was handpicked by former U.S. Postal Service Super Domestic
and nine time Tour de France finisher Frankie Andreu, and is considered an all star team made
up of the who’s who from the previous racing season. Leading the charge will be 2005 Wachovia
USPRO Road Champion Chris Wherry, followed by current National Time Trail Champion Chris
Baldwin. Keep an eye out for sprinting specialist Juan José Haedo, who has already started out
the season well with two stage wins at the Amgen Tour of California. This is a very well balanced
team and will definitely be a threat to challenge Health Net for the 2006 NRC overall title.
